| antifungal agent with excellent performance | monoethyl fumarate is an antifungal agent with excellent performance, referred to as MEF, which can inhibit mold growth, prolong the shelf life of food and feed, and has little toxicity and little irritation to skin and mucous membrane. it is expected to become a new antifungal agent for food and feed. The chemical name is monoethyl fumarate, which is white or light red at room temperature. Crystal solid, soluble in water and ethanol. It is a replacement product of food additive fumaric acid and its dimethyl ester. It can also be used to produce an organic intermediate with high reactivity fumaric acid monoacyl chloride. Adding a small amount of anti-mold agents that can inhibit the growth of microorganisms in food and feed is the most commonly used anti-mold method. Currently, the widely used chemical anti-mold preservatives mainly include benzoic acid and its salts, sodium diacetate, propionic acid and its salts, sorbic acid and its salts, fumarate esters, etc. However, organic acids and their salts have better inhibitory effect only under the condition of acid , and the antibacterial effect is greatly affected by DH. |
